PX

Pixel

The smallest addressable unit of a digital image or CSS. In raster graphics, an image is composed of a grid of pixels, while in interfaces, px describes element dimensions independently of the screen's physical size.

Why it matters

A common unit in digital design: banner, graphic, and interface element dimensions are specified in pixels. Knowing platform-specific formats saves revision rounds.

What's missing without it

Graphics with incorrect dimensions may be cropped or blurred by the platform — the creative looks bad exactly where it was meant to shine.

When it is used

With every digital graphic: banners, posts, covers, website elements — always match the target platform's dimensions.

How we use it

Social media creatives may have dimensions of 1080 × 1080 px, while a banner may be 1200 × 628 px.
