The company name has formally been changed from Kia Motors Poland to Kia Poland, with a similar change also applying to Kia Europe. The renaming is part of the transformation of the Kia brand into a provider of advanced technology and sustainable mobility.

Kia's new name and logo

Both in Poland and across Europe, Kia has officially registered a new name and logo that reflect the brand's new vision. Kia is transforming into a provider of sustainable means of transport, expanding its operations into new business areas and accelerating the development of new-generation cars that will be environmentally friendly.

The change of name from Kia Motors Europe to Kia Europe and from Kia Motors Poland to Kia Poland is in line with the brand's long-term business strategy "Plan S" presented last year. The new strategy is intended to help the company assume a position as a leader in sustainable mobility. It covers not only new-generation electric cars but also mobility solutions and services as well as technologically advanced so-called special-purpose vehicles. At the same time, by using energy from renewable sources and recycled materials, Kia will promote production in a sustainable manner.

"The development of the Kia brand is now focused on popularising electric BEV cars. To this end, by 2026 we plan to expand the model range worldwide with seven new cars of this type. These will include hatchbacks and SUVs belonging to various segments. Thanks to the use of the new modular E-GMP platform in their construction, each of these cars will offer a long range and fast charging" – says Leszek Sukiennik, managing director of Kia Poland. "The first stage of the new exciting challenge for the Kia brand began in March this year with the premiere of the EV6, a new electric crossover" – he adds.

Kia brand transformation: new logo and a name without "Motors"

At the beginning of 2021, KIA also unveiled a new logo and brand slogan, which symbolise a bold transformation and new goals. The new logo expresses Kia's ambition to become a leader in the mobility industry in the future, which will affect a change in nearly every aspect of its operations.

The logo is a symbol of Kia's new vision and the values it wants to offer customers through future products and services and to enable them to experience new sensations. As previously announced, the new logo resembles a handwritten signature. The rhythmic and continuous line of the logo shows that Kia wants to inspire, while its symmetry indicates the brand's confidence in pursuing that goal. The brand's growing ambitions and – more importantly – what it offers customers are expressed by the rising lines in the logo.

The new logo was presented during a record-breaking pyrotechnic display over the city of Incheon in Korea. 303 drones launched hundreds of fireworks during a synchronised show that ushered in a new era for the Kia brand. On that occasion, a new Guinness World Record was set in the category of "the number of drones used for a fireworks display".
