BBC Studios strengthens team in Warsaw
BBC Studios announced today that it has hired new people to strengthen its team in Warsaw. In the past month, Agnieszka Niburska joined the company as Senior Communications Officer CEE, and last week Anna Pater took on the role of Senior Partnership Manager CEE.
Agnieszka Niburska, in her new role as Senior Communications Officer CEE, will be responsible for communications in Poland and across Central and Eastern Europe. She will coordinate her activities directly with Louise Loffel, Head of Communications for Global Media and Streaming at BBC Studios in London. Agnieszka brings nineteen years of experience at HBO, where she started as PR Manager for HBO Poland and later advanced to the position of Director of PR and Communications for Central Europe within HBO Max EMEA. She also worked as marketing and PR director at the Warsaw Film School, and recently handled film promotion and festival strategies for Mówi Serwis. She also has teaching experience, conducting classes at the Warsaw School of Promotion and workshops on promotion and communication for filmmakers as part of DOC LAB.
New specialists at BBC Studios
Anna Pater, as Senior Partnership Manager CEE, will be responsible for developing partnerships in Poland and across Central and Eastern Europe, reporting to Zbigniew Pruski, commercial director for the CEE and MENAT region. Anna has extensive experience in the television industry, gained while working for AMC Networks, Fox International Channels and National Geographic. Recently, she collaborated with TVP and Studiomed TV, and throughout her career she specialized in business partnerships, sales, B2B marketing, and the development of television channels and non-linear services.

BBC Studios continues its expansion in the Central and Eastern European region. In June, the premium series channel BBC First was launched in the Czech Republic in cooperation with O2, as well as in Slovakia in cooperation with Slovak Telecom. Advertising sales were also introduced to BBC Earth and BBC First channels in Romania. In the summer, Marcin Boroszko joined the team in the newly created position of director of advertising sales for the CEE region.
