Łukasz Sztuczyński takes charge of the e-commerce area at GroupM. The new head of the group's cross-agency team had previously helped build it on behalf of Mindshare.
Łukasz Sztuczyński succeeds Zuzanna Gębka as head of e-commerce at GroupM. He will lead a team of specialists in this field working at GroupM and supporting e-commerce consultants from the agencies belonging to the group – Wavemaker, MediaCom and Mindshare.
The cross-agency e-commerce team at GroupM has been operating for nearly 2 years; its establishment was linked, among other things, to Amazon's then-upcoming debut in Poland. The team provided technological and operational support to the specialist e-commerce departments operating within the group's agencies. It also improved the exchange of knowledge and best practices in e-commerce between Mindshare, Wavemaker and MediaCom. It will now carry out this role under the leadership of Łukasz Sztuczyński, who is moving to GroupM from Mindshare.
For the past 2.5 years Łukasz headed Shop+, a specialist brand integrating the agencies' e-commerce competencies. Earlier, Sztuczyński worked both on the agency side (Dentsu) and on the client side (BPO Poland and Learning Systems), where he dealt with, among other things, marketing and business development, including e-commerce activities.
At GroupM, Łukasz Sztuczyński succeeds Zuzanna Gębka, who is moving to the client side.
- The e-commerce market is transforming every quarter, along with Allegro's growth, Amazon's investments, the emergence of further smaller marketplaces and new online stores. This comes with a whole range of areas that need to be taken care of: from positioning and selecting the product range, through media promotion, to order logistics. Introducing marketers to this world requires ever greater specialisation and a technological base, which we are developing at GroupM mainly for Polish, but increasingly also for regional network clients – says Sztuczyński.
