One of the elements necessary for running an online store is having an appropriate set of documents, especially the store's terms and conditions, privacy policy and GDPR documentation. Their absence or errors contained in them can cost the seller dearly. An additional challenge is continuously keeping them compliant with changing legal regulations.
For several years now, thanks to an online tool called Kreator Legal Geek, the Sopot-based law firm has allowed online sellers operating in Poland to easily and automatically generate the documents necessary for lawful operation, while also ensuring they are kept up to date. It now offers a similar capability to those who want to sell their products in other European Union countries – it provides documents in English, compliant with current EU law.
For bringing the Kreator to market, Zofia Babicka-Klecor, founder and CEO of the Legal Geek law firm, was nominated for the title "E-commerce Woman 2022" in the Innovations category.

Kreator Legal Geek gives a far greater number of entrepreneurs access to specialist legal services than would be the case in the traditional model of providing legal services. It is a cheaper, faster and much more accessible service. What is more, we reduce to a minimum the time a seller has to devote to legal matters – explains Zofia Babicka-Klecor, CEO and founder of the Legal Geek law firm, which brought
Kreator Legal Geek to market. –
At the same time, our team of lawyers constantly ensures that all these documents comply with applicable law. In this way, since Kreator began operating, we have helped around twenty thousand entrepreneurs start lawful online sales – adds Zofia Babicka-Klecor.

Kreator Legal Geek is one of the first legal tech solutions of its kind in Poland. It is offered to its clients by the most popular software providers for online stores, including Shoper and Sky-Shop. The founder of Legal Geek's work in the e-commerce field was recognised with a nomination for Zofia Babicka-Klecor for the title "
E-commerce Woman 2022" in the Innovations category. She also has on her record the title of finalist in the 11th edition of the "Businesswoman of the Year" competition, in the Leader in New Technologies category. It turns out that law and new technologies are a great combination.
For many Polish online stores, the best strategy for further growth is to start selling in other European markets. The simplest way to implement this plan is to make your store available in English. This of course also applies to terms and conditions and privacy policies, which, however, cannot be mechanically translated from Polish. They must be adapted at least to EU law and care must be taken to ensure they do not contain provisions specific solely to sales in Poland.
– Since the start of the pandemic, our services have become even more popular. Comparing 2020 and 2021, sales growth was almost 300 per cent. There has also been a need for legal support for those wanting to start cross-border sales – says Zofia Babicka-Klecor. – That is why in our Kreator Legal Geek we also offer a full package of documents in English. We create them based on the regulations in force in the European Union, ensuring protection for both the consumer and the seller – she explains.
As with the Polish-language documentation, the English-language version is also updated on an ongoing basis. As legal regulations change, it is automatically updated, and responsibility for the documents' compliance with the law rests with the Legal Geek law firm.
