They will compete for the main prizes. 41 works from Poland is the second highest result after Romania in the region of Central and Eastern Europe and the Nordic countries. In the final showdown, the jury will select the best photographs from among a thousand submissions qualified for the last stage.

As many as 254 authors from our region qualified for the global final TOP 1000, and Poland, with a result of 41 works, ranks almost on par with Romania, from where 42 photos made it to the last stage.

This year's edition of the Huawei Next-Image Awards 2020 photography competition enjoyed great interest in Poland – 11,000 mobile photography enthusiasts submitted their works to the competition.

Awards for Authors from Poland

The Polish branch of Huawei selected and awarded its favourites in the competition – the best turned out to be a work in the Close Far category, and its author, using the pseudonym S_e_j_l_o_r in the Huawei Community, will receive a Huawei MateBook 13 2020 laptop. All 20 laureates distinguished by the local branch were awarded wireless headphones Huawei FreeBuds 3. These works will also compete in the final for the grand prize (they count towards the total of 41 Polish final works). Poland in the Final of Huawei Next-Image Awards

In the final, the jury will select three winners who will receive the title of Photographer of the Year, the Grand Prize of $10,000, and the latest photography smartphone, the Huawei P40 Pro. Also awarded will be 15 best works from all categories, with each laureate receiving $1,000 and a Huawei P40 Pro smartphone. The jury will also distinguish 55 authors of works, who will receive a Huawei P40 Pro smartphone.

 

Summary

41 works from Poland qualified for the final of the Huawei Next-Image Awards 2020, giving our country second place in the region of Central and Eastern Europe and the Nordic countries, just behind Romania (42 photos). In the country, 11,000 mobile photography enthusiasts submitted their works, and the local Huawei branch distinguished 20 authors, including the winner of the "Close Far" category.

In the global final, the jury will select the Photographer of the Year, who will receive $10,000 and a Huawei P40 Pro smartphone. In total, 73 authors will be awarded, demonstrating how important the development of mobile photography in the region is to the manufacturer.
