More and more often, celebrities earn money on something completely different from the art they create. What really ensures them a steady flow of income into their account? You'll be surprised!

Art for art's sake?

Dorota Rabczewska has remained among the top concert performers in Poland since her debut with the band Virgin. In a season, she plays as many as several dozen concerts across the country. However, in a recently conducted interview with WP, the singer admits that sometimes she doesn't earn anything from her performances because she invests heavily in their spectacular production.

,,I am Doda, I like to surprise my fans and invest in our relationship. Many times it happens that I don't even earn on my concerts, as long as they are satisfied and shocked by what they see on stage. My band earned, I actually don't have to do this anymore, because I have other sources of income. Therefore, the album I am releasing, "Riotka Tour", I am releasing so that every fan can enjoy it and have a rich drawer under the heading "D"" - Doda explains in an interview with WP.

Real money flows from cooperation with brands

The truth is often brutal - truly satisfying incomes for stars come from advertising collaborations. Sponsored posts on social media channels, participation in TV commercials, statements for the press are the main source of income for contemporary celebrities, allowing for creative freedom. What do celebrities advertise? In the vast majority, these are cosmetic and clothing brands, but also electronics, banking, telecommunications, and insurance services. However, specialists see a growing demand for image and an increase in this trend in the coming years.

Concepts from the article

Social Media — Social media. Platforms that allow users to create, publish, comment on, and share content and build communities. For a brand, it is an organic, advertising, service, and analytical channel.

Why it's important: It combines reach, dialogue, and sales in one place: the brand speaks, listens, and responds where the audience spends time. It is also a service channel and the first front of a crisis.

When to use it: Constantly: organic content, paid campaigns, handling inquiries, opinion monitoring, and collaborations with creators.

What's the risk of omitting it: Absence from social media hands the narrative to others: the brand is talked about anyway — just without its voice.
