Backup

Backup copy

A copy of data and configuration that enables system restoration after damage, user error, attack, or infrastructure failure. An effective backup requires regular recovery tests.

Why it matters

It's the only protection that works after the fact: after an error, attack, or disk failure. What matters is not just the copy itself, but the verified ability to restore the system from it.

What's missing without it

Without a backup, a single incorrect write, a ransomware attack, or a failed disk means irreversible loss of content, customer data, and configuration.

When it is used

Always, automatically, and on schedule; manually — before every migration, large-scale data change, and system update.

How we use it

Daily backups of the database and media are encrypted and stored off the main server.
