Piotr Piętka, the current co-CEO of Publicis Groupe in Poland, will take on the role of CEO of Publicis Groupe in Poland, Ukraine and the Baltic States. Tomasz Pawlikowski, who since 2018 had managed the organisation in Poland as co-CEO together with Piotr Piętka, is leaving the company, and his position will not be filled again.

A new region in Central and Eastern Europe

The creation of a new region in Central and Eastern Europe (Poland, Ukraine and the Baltic States) and the appointment of Piotr Piętka as CEO of that region is a continuation of Publicis Groupe's efforts under the Power of One model to strengthen cooperation between markets and teams, so as to integrate knowledge, competences and talents even better around clients' business needs.

- Piotr Piętka has more than 20 years of experience at Publicis Groupe, documented with successes. Thanks to a clear vision, a focus on business transformation and building positive experiences between people and brands, his work to date has delivered measurable value to the clients of our agencies – says Tomas Lauko, who leads Publicis Groupe in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe - I have no doubt that placing Piotr in the role of leader of Publicis Groupe in Poland, Ukraine and the Baltic States will accelerate the implementation of the Power of One model in this region, bring even greater integration of our key competences and create greater access to the Group's strategic resources, so as to respond more precisely to our clients' business challenges.

Piotr Piętka's role and the reporting structure

Piotr Piętka, as CEO of Publicis Groupe in Poland, Ukraine and the Baltic States, will report directly to Tomas Lauko.

Farewell to Tomasz Pawlikowski

New CEO of Publicis Groupe in Poland and the region

Tomasz Pawlikowski, who as co-CEO, together with Piotr Piętka, had led Publicis Groupe in Poland since 2018, is parting ways with the organisation, and his position will not be filled again.

- I would like to thank Tomasz warmly here, as he has been associated with Publicis Groupe in Poland since the early 1990s and during that time has proven his effectiveness as a leader not only in Poland, but also across the entire CEE region. For more than 30 years he helped transform local agencies into modern, multidisciplinary organisations, advising their teams and leading them to leading positions in individual countries. In 2018 he was responsible for launching the eCommerce Content Center of Excellence in Poland, which today is an integral part of Publicis Commerce's global offering. I personally believe that Tomasz's leadership contributed significantly to the group's transformation, helping to develop our offering and open it up to new opportunities, which he always did with 100% commitment and passion – commented Piotr Piętka.
- I have spent half my life in the Groupe and many of the initiatives that are still alive are, in a way, my children. The next chapter of my life will reflect all the experience and wisdom I have gathered from working with people and for people. Building individual careers and supporting talent has been, is and will be my passion. I will remain faithful to my psychological and coaching roots. I wish the Groupe, Piotr and all my colleagues all the best in their successful efforts to transform the organisation and pave the way for the entire industry. The friendships that began during my long work at the Groupe will remain intact and as strong as they were. I am starting my journey all over again – says Tomasz Pawlikowski.
