Concepts from the article

DB — Database. An organized collection of data managed by a database system. In an application, it stores user records, content, settings, roles, task statuses, file metadata, and business logs.

Why it matters: It is the system's single source of truth: articles, users, orders, and settings live in one consistent place with access control and change history.

When it is used: Anywhere data needs to survive a restart, be shared, and be searchable.

What happens if it is omitted: Without a solid database, data spreads across files and spreadsheets — every copy is different, and answering a simple question requires manual stitching.

SEO — Search Engine Optimization. A set of technical and editorial activities that improve how search engines understand, index, and display pages. It covers content, structure, metadata, linking, performance, and structured data.

Why it matters: It determines whether content is found at all: search ranking is now the main source of free traffic. Technology, structure, and content work together here.

When it is used: Constantly: when writing content, building a site, during migrations (redirects!), and when analyzing visibility.

What happens if it is omitted: Without optimization, even a great article lands on the tenth page of results — traffic has to be bought with ads, or it does not exist.

Social Media — Platforms that enable users to create, publish, comment on, and share content and build communities. For a brand, they are an organic, advertising, support, and analytical channel.

Why it matters: It combines reach, dialogue, and sales in one place: the brand speaks, listens, and responds where audiences spend their time. It is also a support channel and the first front in a crisis.

When it is used: Constantly: organic content, paid campaigns, handling inquiries, opinion monitoring, and collaborations with creators.

What happens if it is omitted: Absence from social media hands the narrative to others: people talk about the brand anyway — just without its voice.
