New EMEA President at Lenovo Data Center Group (DCG)
Giovanni Di Filippo has joined Lenovo Data Center Group (DCG) as President for Europe, Africa and the Middle East (EMEA), where he will develop the company's business and its relationships with partners and customers in the data center segment.
Giovanni brings impressive experience to Lenovo DCG. Holding various senior leadership positions, he optimized the operations of sales departments at international technology companies with revenues in the billions of dollars.
Before joining Lenovo, Giovanni Di Filippo was Vice President for EMEA for partner collaboration, sales and strategic alliances at Riverbed Technology, where his channel-focused strategy earned the title of Region of the Year. Previously, he held various positions at the global vice president level in partner collaboration and sales at SAP. At Cisco, he initially served as managing director for Central and Eastern Europe and the Persian Gulf, and then for the entire Central and Eastern Europe region, the CIS and the Middle East, covering 42 countries and generating revenues of $3 billion. Before that, he gained experience as a leader at Sun Microsystems and Compaq Computers, developing sales in international environments. Most recently, Giovanni worked with several European startups, ensuring their stable growth and organizing international sales departments, which gave him valuable insight into business efficiency and innovation.
Giovanni is a committed advocate of smart sales models based on the entire partner ecosystem. He has developed his own innovative, next-generation business architecture known as the rapid operational sales model and the partner quadrant model. His passion also includes developing employees and building a team focused on satisfying and fruitful collaboration with partners and customers.
