Alstom – an international company specialising in communications and transport solutions. Since May 2020, Iwona Burzyńska has held the position of Communications Director for Central and Eastern Europe.
Scope of responsibility
The new Director will be responsible for a region covering countries such as Poland, the Baltic states, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Greece and the Balkan countries, including among others Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia and Serbia.
She gained her experience in corporate, marketing and digital communications at international integrated communications agencies: Publicis, Grayling and Fleishman-Hillard, where she ran communications activities for brands from sectors including FMCG, automotive, consumer electronics, manufacturing and industry.

Between 2011 and 2014 she served as Public Relations Manager at Panasonic Corporation in Poland and the Baltic states, where she was responsible for the brand's image and communications activities in Poland, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia. She has been associated with Lafarge in Poland since July 2015, and she took up the position of Director of Communications and External Relations in March 2016. Since December 2018 she has also served as Vice-President of the WSPÓLNIE – LafargeHolcim Foundation. She is responsible for all internal, external and online corporate communications, public affairs and communications with stakeholders and institutions.
She is a graduate of the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Warsaw, with a specialisation in Economic Psychology, and of the Institute of Applied Linguistics at the University of Warsaw in English and Russian. She also holds a DMI (Digital Marketing Institute) certificate.
