Oktawian Torchała, the current CEO, has been appointed to the structures of ALDI's headquarters in Essen. From 15 March of this year, Wojciech Łubieński, the current Vice-President of the Management Board of ALDI in Poland, will serve as Acting Chairman of the Management Board of ALDI in Poland.
Change in the CEO position at ALDI
Oktawian Torchała has been associated with the Polish ALDI company since August 2010, when he joined the team as Sales Area Manager, and already in December 2012 he took the position of Sales Manager. In May 2014, he took the helm of the Regional Company in Chorzów, which he developed until July 2017, to support business development on the Polish market a month later as CEO of ALDI in Poland. From 1 April 2021, he will join the international team at ALDI's headquarters in Essen, where he will use his experience and knowledge to support the processes of further transformation of the chain, in line with the global development plans that ALDI has set for itself.

Who is the new president?
Wojciech Łubieński has been associated with the company since December 2019, when he took the position of Vice-President and Deputy Managing Director of the ALDI discount chain in Poland. Previously, he worked at the Super-Pharm pharmacy and drugstore chain, most recently as Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer.
