Samsung Electronics has announced the launch of its new, advanced SAMSUNG ARTIK™ Smart IoT platform. This solution will make it easier for companies to bring new products and services based on the Internet of Things (IoT) to market, and will also help them achieve a faster return on investment.
Samsung's advanced ARTIK™ platform includes new, comprehensive, enterprise-grade security features. It also provides intuitive services that enable efficient management of users and devices, as well as node management and secure OTA updates.
Samsung is also introducing the new SAMSUNG ARTIK™ 053 module, which will equip connected products with new capabilities, as well as SAMSUNG ARTIK™ QuickStart, a program supporting the design and development of products and services. This offering will make it easier for customers and partners to quickly enter the Internet of Things industry, enabling them to deliver secure solutions in this field more easily and quickly.
The SAMSUNG ARTIK™ Smart IoT platform makes it easier for companies to securely activate, monitor, track and add new functions to products. Combined with advanced SAMSUNG ARTIK Cloud connectors, as well as tools that enable effective organization and management of resources, they also significantly increase the functionality of connected products.
The SAMSUNG ARTIK™ 053 module is an affordable Internet of Things solution. It offers high-performance, enhanced security designed for next-generation solutions such as smart home appliances, medical devices and industrial automation solutions. The new SAMSUNG ARTIK™ 053 module can significantly shorten the time needed to create IoT solutions. This is thanks to real-time data processing, powered by a 320 MHz ARM® Cortex® R4 processor, 1.4 MB of RAM and 8 MB of Flash memory, software and a certified Wi-Fi module.
New services and platform enhancements
SAMSUNG's ARTIK™ platform offers new, fully integrated security enhancements covering hardware, software and communication, so companies can more easily deliver more secure IoT devices and solutions.
Samsung's ARTIK™ Cloud platform is a comprehensive offering that enables quick addition of new devices, management of network edge nodes, secure OTA updates and integration with Amazon AWS Kinesis Stream. What's more, it also provides new cloud connectors, including the Google Assistant in Google Home and the Smart Home Skill in Amazon's Alexa.
