For several years we have been observing intensive work on the use of artificial intelligence in business. Who has succeeded? What benefits and threats can we already talk about? Until now, there were no concrete answers to these questions. That is why the report "Artificial Intelligence in Business" was created. This is the first analysis of its kind in Poland.
We encounter artificial intelligence more and more often. In everyday life, we let advanced tools suggest what to put in our e-basket or which series on a VOD service to choose for the evening
And what can an appropriate tool using machine learning do for an enterprise? It can predict the future, e.g. sales levels, prices, or consumer behavior. It can manage huge databases and use them to personalize the message and offer. It can also create unique content, recommend items or services, including based on the user's emotions, and even replace a customer advisor.
In 4 years, as many as 75% of enterprises will use artificial intelligence in business
Examples of using the capabilities of artificial intelligence in today's business world can be found among giants as well as smaller enterprises. Google uses it in its search engine. Bosch, a leader in the power tools industry, learned thanks to AI that it collects extremely interesting and valuable information about its customers. General Electric uses it to service jet engines.
– We write about specific examples, including by making readers aware that AI is present in many places where they did not expect it (e.g. the Disqus comment system) – says Grzegorz Miłkowski, owner and publisher of the marketinglink.pl and socialpress.pl portals and managing director of ContentHouse.
Will artificial intelligence replace people?
The departments that can benefit most from machine learning include finance, HR, logistics, and marketing. For marketers, artificial intelligence can help above all in process automation. According to Marek Włodarczyk, Country Manager Poland at Optivo, modern tools based on this technology will allow for comprehensive campaign management: – From real-time hyperpersonalization, through conversion, to communication with returning customers. He also predicts that email marketing can benefit greatly from automation. – Based on historical data on an individual customer's activity, a self-learning algorithm determines what content the user is most likely to click on, thereby increasing the company's profits – adds Włodarczyk. By comparison, the company United Services Automobile Association achieved as much as 88% effectiveness in predicting customer behavior thanks to using AI solutions. – It is true that machines have an advantage over us in terms of computing power, but no one has yet figured out how to teach them creativity – summarizes Urszula Borek, Data Scientist.
