AcronymsAbbreviations everyone uses and few explain

VM

Virtual Machine

A software-emulated computer running on a physical host. It has its own operating system, virtual processor, memory, and disk, providing stronger isolation than application processes.

Why it matters

Provides full isolation: separate operating system, resources, and permissions on shared hardware. Failure or compromise of one machine does not affect others.

What's missing without it

Without virtualization, each service requires a dedicated physical server or shares a system with others — version conflicts or breaches can spread to everything.

When it is used

Used for separating environments (production/testing), isolating clients, and running systems with different requirements.

How we use it

A separate VM runs the AI worker to isolate its resources from the production CMS server.
