CLI

Command-Line Interface

A text-based way to manage programs and servers via a terminal. Enables installation, configuration, launching services, reading logs, running scripts, and automating administration tasks.

Why it matters

Provides full control over the server and allows automation of everything that would otherwise require clicking through a graphical interface. A single command can replace dozens of clicks and can be saved in a script.

What's missing without it

Without a command line, administration is limited to what the graphical panel provides — diagnostics, bulk operations, and automation become unavailable.

When it is used

Used for server administration, diagnostics, scripting, migrations, and anything that needs to run automatically.

How we use it

Launching Docker Compose, checking VoiceStudio logs, or performing a database migration.
