All those who plan to travel abroad soon and at the same time do not want to part with the VoD access purchased in Poland will certainly welcome the new rule introduced by on-demand television providers.
Starting April 1, viewers of services such as Netflix, HBO Go, NC+ Go, Showmax, Ipla.tv and Player.pl will have access to their favorite content also outside Poland.
Fans of film productions can be grateful to the European Union, because its decision abolished geoblocking, that is, preventing access to content for users of video services who are not located in Poland.

The latest regulations do not specify which programs will no longer be restricted in international access. As a result, this means that access to any video service that required a subscription payment (such as a film, match or series available in Poland) should also be active abroad.
Until now, people staying outside Poland could only use Netflix and Showmax, but they were automatically switched to the version adapted to their location, which deprived them, for example, of Polish language versions.

Very important information for service operators is the place where long-term VoD access was purchased, as well as the payment method chosen by the user. A condition for gaining access outside Poland is having previously purchased a subscription in Poland.
Importantly, as in the case of the abolition of telephone roaming, the time of using the service abroad should be limited in a reasonable way. Most likely, over time VoD will decide to verify whether video viewers are not abusing the option made available by the service.
