Brett Lea: information warfare

On the second day of the Congress, the organisers plan, among other things, a presentation by the special guest, Lieutenant Colonel Brett Lea – a public affairs officer in the US Army's 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg in North Carolina. The Lieutenant Colonel has spent the last few months in Poland. He previously took part in US Army missions in Iraq and Afghanistan. A lecturer in military history at the United States Military Academy at West Point, he will talk about media and local community communication strategy during armed conflicts. The interview with the Lieutenant Colonel, conducted in English, will be led by Bartosz Staniszewski – CEO of Brandfeed, the agency that handles G2A Arena and managed communication between the unit stationed in Poland and the media.

One of the key topics of our conversation will be the issue of disinformation and the challenges related to communication during a mission. In the age of social media, war is waged not only on the battlefield, but also in the information sphere – in this context the problem of fake news is very evidentsays Bartosz Staniszewski.

Cybersecurity and crises

During the largest PR event in Poland, discussion panels will also be organised, including one devoted to cybersecurity, which is one of the most important challenges facing communication professionals.
