Preparations are underway for the 2nd Time for Sight Charity Run! The media success of the first edition, which drew 1,000 participants and over 50 celebrities, proved that such efforts are worth the while. All of this to help children in need. Registration for the second edition has just opened, organized during the week of World Sight Day celebrations. This year the event has one goal: to help the SOS Children's Villages Association in Poland and foster families. The organizer will donate as many pairs of corrective glasses to children as there are runners in the Main Run. Such stars as Anna Dereszowska, Stanisław Karpiel-Bułecka, Małgorzata and Radek Majdan, Artur Żmijewski and Paulina Chylewska have already declared their participation in the event.
There are more opportunities for joint family celebration. The 2nd Family Time for Sight Run is also a summary of the huge success of the nationwide Time for Sight 40+ campaign. Its main goal is to build awareness of the need for regular eye exams and proper spectacle correction, as well as education about presbyopia. The 2nd Time for Sight Run will take place on October 12 at 1:00 PM in Miasteczko Wilanów. The race will be held over a distance of 5 km.
1 participant = 1 pair of glasses for a child
The charitable nature of the event is underscored by a shared goal – helping children. The organizers will provide the wards of the SOS Children's Villages Association in Poland, which cares for abandoned, orphaned and at-risk children, as well as foster families, with as many pairs of corrective glasses as there are runners in the Main Run. The idea is a continuation of the See a Better Future program initiated by the Essilor Group. As part of the campaign, company employees conduct screening eye exams in children's homes. The 2nd Family Time for Sight Run is a perfect opportunity to improve the quality of vision for more children in need – this time the wards of SOS Children's Villages and foster families.
Every pair of glasses is another chance for a better future for our wards. Thanks to improved vision, children communicate better, achieve better academic results, or simply feel more confident. They are more willing to take on challenges and build new relationships. – says Barbara Rajkowska, National Director of SOS Children's Villages.

The event will be accompanied by a range of family attractions – for both children and adults. Everyone will be able to undergo a free screening eye exam. With families in mind, the organizers will also prepare a recreation zone with animations for the youngest, a food zone and a chill-out zone. Children will also be able to take part in the accompanying Children's Run in four age categories (5-7 years, 7-9 years, 9-13 years and 13-15 years), over three distances: 50 m, 150 m, 200 m and 300 m. After the awards ceremony for the best runners, there will also be a performance by Magda Bereda – one of the most popular singing YouTubers – and a concert by Staszek Karpiel-Bułecki with the band Future Folk.
