The new feature on Instagram allows you to pin up to 3 posts on your profile grid in the app, so users can highlight their favorite posts at the top of their profile. Instagram started working on the new feature in April, and now it has finally rolled it out to all users.

Instagram has long allowed users to pin their favorite Stories with graphics and video files to their profile. However, you couldn't do the same with posts or reels. Today that changes with Instagram's new option and grid pinning, which is now available to everyone. Users can now pin up to three photos or reels to their profile.
If you're an engaged Instagrammer who posts frequently, you know this makes a big difference in how your feed looks. After all, if you keep updating your profile, some of your most cherished posts can get buried under endless thumbnails of weekly photo dumps. Pinned posts are another way to curate the most important posts that people visiting your profile will see.
"Your profile is your space, so we're looking for more ways to give you control over that experience," said Instagram head, Adam Mosseri.
Now you can make sure your crush has easy access to your favorite photo, set a follower record, or let everyone see the "Eat, Pray, Love"-level trip you took last summer. With pinned posts, you can decide what first impression you make.
New Feature on Instagram - how to pin a post?
Pinning posts to your profile is pretty simple. If anything, the hardest step will be deciding which three posts you want to pin. Once you've chosen the posts you want to pin, go to each one individually and tap the three horizontal dots in the top right corner of the post. You can choose any three photos, videos, or reels you want to pin to the top of your profile. An option "Pin to your profile" will appear in the menu. Tap that button, and the post will automatically appear at the top of your grid, marked with a small icon with a white pin.
If you change your mind about the pinned posts, you can unpin them by going back to the same menu and tapping "Unpin from your profile".
