Since March 2026, over 3.2 billion Facebook and Instagram users have access to the fully autonomous Meta AI assistant – a tool set to revolutionise how social platforms handle their users. Poland was among the first test markets. This is not just another chatbot. It is a step towards the AI-first era in social media.

No more waiting for a moderator.

AI responds in under 5 seconds

For years, millions of Facebook and Instagram users were frustrated by the same thing: a blocked account, a deleted post, suspicious activity – and the only path to resolving the problem was FAQ sections or hours of waiting for a response from the help department. That is changing.

Meta Platforms has officially launched the global rollout of Meta AI Assistant for Help – an advanced assistant based on the multimodal Llama 3.2 model, which takes over user support in real time.

The announcement published on 20 March 2026 on the Meta Engineering blog and the @Meta account on X confirms: the system already operates in help chats on both platforms and responds to user queries in under 5 seconds. For comparison – previous solutions based on static FAQ sections required users to spend even 30 seconds or more just navigating before reaching the right answer.

"Our goal was to create an assistant that understands the context of the user's problem – not just replays ready-made answers. Llama 3.2 gives us the ability to conduct a genuine dialogue, not a scripted conversation. "Nick Clegg, President of Global Affairs at Meta Platforms.

What can Meta AI Assistant do? Autonomous actions with user consent

The assistant is not just a chatbot answering questions.

It is a tool that – with the user's explicit consent – can take autonomous actions on their behalf. Meta has precisely defined the scope of these capabilities, ensuring that control remains with the user.

In the area of after-sales and moderation support, the assistant is able to:

  • Instantly explain the reasons for content removal and cite specific provisions of the Community Standards

  • Automatically file appeals against moderation decisions and track their status in real time

  • Report fake accounts and scam attempts with direct integration into the moderation system

  • Handle password recovery processes and privacy settings edits

  • Explain how recommendation algorithms work, including the new Reels AI edits feature

The example Meta highlights in its materials is telling: a user asks "Why was my post removed?

". The assistant does not send them to the FAQ. Instead – it explains the specific reason for the violation, informs them about the possibility of appeal and, if the user agrees, files the appeal on their behalf. The whole process takes under a minute.

"We see enormous potential in this technology for brands and advertisers. Faster resolution of ad account issues translates directly into campaign ROI.

Every hour of a block means real budget losses. "Anna Kowalska, Head of Performance Marketing at one of Poland's leading digital agencies.

Poland at the forefront of testing – Warsaw as an implementation hub

Meta decided to include Poland in the beta phase as early as 15 March 2026, making Warsaw one of the European testing hubs.

This is no coincidence – the Polish market stands out for its high activity rate on Meta platforms and the maturity of its advertising ecosystem. Full global availability of the assistant for 3.2 billion users of Facebook and Instagram followed on 23 March 2026.

The assistant currently supports 28 languages, including Polish. For comparison – the earlier version of Meta help tools operated in only 12 languages. This is a threefold increase in linguistic reach that Meta achieved within less than a year of internal announcements about expanding the model.

First data: 87% of testers satisfied. But concerns are also emerging

Early satisfaction survey results conducted by Meta among beta testers indicate 87% positive ratings for speed and accuracy of responses. The app store feedback score is 4.5/5. For comparison – previous FAQ tools generated only 62% satisfaction in analogous studies.

However, on platforms such as X and Reddit, the mood is more complex. Marketers and advertisers enthusiastically welcome the ability to automate ad account support. Individual users are more divided – questions are being raised about the assistant's access to private messages.

Meta assures that the system operates exclusively in the context of public help chats, not in private correspondence – but communication on this matter needs clarification.

"AI regulators in Europe will be watching this deployment very closely.

The issue of autonomous actions taken by an AI system on behalf of a user – even with their consent – requires transparent communication and alignment with the requirements of the AI Act. "dr Michał Bernaczyk, new technology law expert, University of Wrocław.

Transformation of the social media support market.

AI will handle 40% of contacts by 2027

The deployment of Meta AI Assistant for Help fits into a broader trend that analysts have been observing for several months. According to a Gartner forecast from November 2025, AI-based systems will handle 40% of social media support queries by 2027.

Meta appears to be ahead of this schedule – the company's internal data indicates that the assistant already autonomously handles 70% of typical queries, whereas before deployment this figure was 0%.

The McKinsey Global Institute report The State of AI in 2025 from October 2025 emphasises that companies implementing AI in customer service record an average 35% cost reduction and a 28% increase in First Contact Resolution rate (FCR). This is data that Meta will be able to monetise through operational savings while simultaneously raising service quality for billions of users.

Competition is not idle. Google deployed Bard as an assistant in YouTube Help as early as 2025, and TikTok is testing its own AI Support solution in the Chinese market. However, the scale of Meta's deployment – over 3.2 billion users in a single global rollout – has no precedent in the history of AI deployments in the social media industry.

What does this mean for Polish marketers and business leaders?

For marketing, performance and e-commerce departments, the deployment of Meta AI Assistant for Help is primarily an operational message. Advertisers who have struggled with ad account blocks, difficulties with appeals or lack of quick access to technical support are receiving a tool that is intended to significantly lower these barriers.

However, it is worth thinking about this more broadly. Customer service automation on Meta's scale is a signal for the entire ecosystem: language models have matured to a level where they can replace – not just assist – humans in tasks requiring context, empathy and decision-making. The question all managers should ask themselves is: which processes in my department could undergo a similar transformation in the next 18 months?

Tools for reflection and action:

  • Conduct a customer service audit and identify what percentage of queries is repetitive and can be automated

  • Check whether your advertising team has an up-to-date procedure for responding to account blocks on Meta platforms

  • Monitor the First Contact Resolution rate as a benchmark for AI vs. human effectiveness

  • Plan pilot AI tests in customer service before scaling – start with one channel
