Want to surprise your audience with an unexpected post added on Facebook? Publish a 3D graphic. Check out how to prepare it!

Mark Zuckerberg gives his users the ability to use 3D forms. As it turns out, this post format engages internet users to the greatest extent, so it is worth learning how to prepare one quickly.

Why is it worth using 3D posts?

Recent changes to the Facebook algorithm mean that videos and live streams are displayed more often than classic versions of publications. It is likely that soon the new 3D format will take the leading position among the most frequently shared content. Additionally, the ability to check what is on the other side sparks internet users' curiosity, so there is little chance that such a post will go unnoticed or be deliberately skipped.

How to create a 3D post step by step

1. Create a project using tools such as MODO, Blender, Maya, or easy-to-use online options, for example Vectary. If you are using Windows 10, you can simply use Paint 3D features.
Export the finished project to a GLB file. This is the binary version of the Windows gITF2.0 format. Pay attention to the file size; it should not be larger than 3 MB.

2. Open Facebook and start the process of adding a post. Drag and drop the three-dimensional object into the post editing window. Facebook still does not allow publishing 3D graphics by selecting them from the post menu the way you would with images or videos.

3. The 3D post is ready. All you have to do is publish it or schedule when it should appear in the public version.

Keep in mind that it is not worth delaying its publication, because competitors will probably soon flood Facebook with their three-dimensional, creative ideas. And after all, the rule still prevails on the internet: first come, first served.
