The American media industry association Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) has honored Izabella Wiley as "Woman to Watch 2018" in the "Programmer" category. Since 1991, WICT has awarded the "Woman to Watch" title to female leaders in the cable television industry who have had a significant impact on the promotion and development of their companies and the entire market.

 

Meet the woman honored as

Izabella Wiley is an experienced manager on the Polish television market. She serves as general manager for Poland at A+E Networks and is responsible for 17 markets in Central and Eastern Europe.

She was recognized for, among other things, creating a strong portfolio of four documentary-entertainment channels in the region (HISTORY, H2, Crime+Investigation, Lifetime), for supporting the professional and personal development of women through the LiderShe organization, and for the initiative of the annual Women in Media Breakfast organized as part of the Polish Chamber of Electronic Communication conference.

Wiley is the first woman from the Central and Eastern European region to receive the "Woman to Watch" title at the WICT Touchstones Luncheon gala on October 15 in New York. Past recipients of the award include Bernadette Aulestia (Executive Vice President, HBO), Tina Thornton (Senior Vice President ESPN), and Kathleen Finch (Senior Vice President/General Manager, HGTV).
