The past half-year turned out to be fortunate for Volvo Cars. Car sales compared with last year rose by as much as 14.4%.

 

In 2017 it was recorded that the brand Volvo Cars sold 571,577 cars worldwide. That result turned out to be the best in the company's 90-year history. Interestingly, everything indicates that 2018 will be even more fruitful.

Reports show that after six months the brand Volvo Cars can boast sales of 317,639 vehicles.

Analyzing the first half-year of car sales in the USA in 2017 and 2018, they rose by as much as 39.6%.

In 2017, from January to June, Americans bought 34,102 cars.

In the first half of 2018 – 47,622 cars. The most popular were SUV models: XC60 and XC90.

It has long been known that China is Volvo's largest sales market, which is reflected in the numbers. Sales growth after six months of 2018 was 18.4%. Chinese customers bought 51,914 cars in the previous half-year, while from January to the end of June this year they took delivery of as many as 61,480 new Volvo vehicles. In China, two models enjoyed the greatest interest: XC60 and S90.

In Europe, sales rose by 5.7% – from 155,653 to 164,480 cars. Europeans mainly chose cars such as: XC60, 90 Series models and XC40.
