The 2017 Geneva Motor Show marks a turning point for Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC), highlighted by the world premiere of an all-new compact SUV Coupe called the Eclipse Cross – the first representative of a new generation of Mitsubishi Motors vehicles, which is to help strengthen the brand's image and position it in Europe as a manufacturer of (almost) exclusively SUV-segment cars.

Fulfilling this role, the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross will help increase the number of Mitsubishi Motors customers, complementing the offering provided by the ASX (current and future generation) and Outlander (current and future generation) models, which will allow the brand to follow an entirely new direction and build its market position on five main pillars, which are:

  • distinctive design
  • the quality and craftsmanship of Japanese artisanship
  • driving dynamics
  • exemplary layout
  • innovative solutions

Sharply styled and offering excellent performance, the SUV Coupe will also be the first car to "speak" MMC's new design language. It will also bring many innovative features and technical solutions to its market segment.

Deliveries of the Eclipse Cross to European markets will begin in the last quarter of 2017 (market launches in individual countries will take place at the end of 2017 and the beginning of 2018), after which the car will go to the markets of Japan, North America, Australia and other regions of the world.
